Sandeep Kunwar, M.D.
Neurosurgeon
Board certified in neurosurgery and renowned for his work in minimally invasive neurosurgery, Dr. Kunwar played an instrumental role in the evolution of the Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute where he now serves as medical director for three of the Institute’s programs: co-medical director of the Gamma Knife® Program, medical director of the Endoscopic Skull Base and Pituitary Center and co-medical director of the Movement Disorders Program.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Thomas - Cerebrovascular & Neurointerventional Surgery
Dr. Jeffrey E. Thomas specializes in neurovascular (blood vessel) disease involving both the brain and spinal cord, as well as performing spinal and general neurosurgery, such as hydrocephalus and benign tumors of the skull base. His expertise also extends to interventional neuroradiology, also known as endovascular neurosurgery (surgery performed from within the blood vessels). His medical practice is unique in its integration of microsurgery and this catheter-based brain surgery, which is performed through a tiny incision in the leg, without opening the skull.

Desmond Erasmus, M.D. Neurosurgeon
Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Erasmus is medical director of the Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute's Minimally Invasive Spine Program. Dr. Erasmus has been a member of the Washington Hospital medical staff since 1979 when he established his medical practice in Fremont, California. Well respected in the community, he is a long-standing member of numerous professional organizations, including: the American Medical Association (AMA), California Medical Association (CMA), Alameda-Contra Costa County Medical Association (ACCMA), California Association of Neurological Surgeons (CANS), San Francisco Neurological Society (SFNS) and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPIO).

Joseph Rial PA-C Bio
Joseph Rial PA-C graduated from The Brooklyn Hospital / Long Island University Physician Assistant Program in 2003. That year he was accepted and attended the post graduated surgical Residency program for Physician Assistants at the Montefiore Hospital / Albert Einstein University Hospital in the Bronx N.Y. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant Mr. Rial was involved in Neurophysiology in both clinical and research aspect.
Angel Sanchez Ayala: Medical assistant / Front office. Angel has 9 years experience with patient care, insurance and authorization.
Hedva Redlich: office / Practice Manager. Hedva has 15 years of healthcare experience, from family practice, GYN and Aetna Health plan.
